Unsure 💔
I see her smile like the moonlight faintHer laugh is a brush painting grey into paintBut I'm anchored deep in my own ocean tidesUnsure if I'll bridge the gap to her side
Her voice is a song I keep on repeatShe walks in my dream in the dead of nightHer eyes speak in riddles while mine beg to stayBut my broken heart whispers "don't call her out"
I hold my love like a trembling flameAfraid of the burn, afraid of the shameIf I could move mountains with the strength I don't knowWould she stay or would my own fears let her go ?
Oh shadows of her smile, they fade and they hauntHer silence cut deeper than words could conveyGuess my heart is still playing a loosing gameHow long am I condemned to this?
I fear the fall of loving when my heart's already cracked,The echoes of the past keep pulling me backIf only she would look, if only she could see,The man behind the ruins, the one I long to beBut her world's a distant shore and mine's a sinking ship,Every time I reach for her, my courage seems to slipI've built a wall to keep you out but pray you breach its heightI'm terrified to love youAnd I'm broken just the same
